This one is apparently huge, some are predicting they have found flowing water on Mars, which would probably lead to a manned mission in our lifetime. Either that or it's spiders.

Story in the (quick, Lefties of WHO, clutch your pearls and reach for your standard issue SWP placards!) DAILY MAIL about a bloke in Michigan who filled up his tank at a petrol garage, then spotted a spider on his petrol tank and decided to kill it...with the flame from his cigarette lighter. Predictable result.

They've already found lots of water (ice) on the Moon, so it won't be surprising if it's on Mars.
Ice mining will be big business in the future.

If they have found water and it's a big IF, it will have huge implications for further space travel as the could separate the hydrogen and oxygen from it for a ready made rocket fuel
